Value Statement: As a congregation we value: love and compassion - honesty and integrity - children and family - community outreach and service - excellence in ministry.
The Marks of Discipleship: As Disciples of our Lord Jesus, we:
Fellowship is the key ingredient of any community of faith. By sharing your name and extending the hand of fellowship, you bridge the gap between you and another person and make possible the movement from strangers to friends. To help build this community please wear a name tag. If you don't have one, please contact the church office.
Proclamation of the Word: Christ the Lord provides the congregation a challenge to grow and live in the Gospel. The sermons are faithful to the Scriptures and the Lectionary (Bible readings designated by the Church.) The Word is proclaimed in such a way that it is relevant to everyday life.
The Sacraments: God's gift of grace through Baptism is a central focus of the congregation's worship and activity. You will be provided an opportunity to receive Holy Communion regularly
Worship Life: The liturgy of the Church is used. Worship is entered into with joyful praise. Hymns drawn from the texts for the day are sung. The theme of the service is proclaimed through the music and the music of the worship is consistent with Lutheran theology.
Creeds and Confessions: The congregation is confessional. The Nicene and Apostles' Creeds are used often and the participant is encouraged to value them.
Christian Education: There are strong programs of Christian Education for members of all ages. The programs are diverse, and do seek to enable members to grow in their spiritual life. The programs are relevant to everyday life and are Biblically centered.
Children and Youth: The children are loved and valued and there are programs that involve them in ways that are both beneficial and enjoyable. Such programs, as First Communion and Confirmation, are seen as treasures of the Church.
Evangelism: The congregation actively reaches out to others and invites them into the family of faith. The congregation is committed to making Jesus known throughout the community.
Service: A wide variety of opportunities for involvement and service are provided which includes youth and young adults.
